In June 2020, for the Pre-Fall 2020 season, Helmut Lang looked to Willie Norris to  rework jeans, t-shirts and hoodies with her signature wordplay. Playfully titled "Helmut Language" as a nod to the design codes and graphic language that has permeated the fashion industry since the labels' inception, the seven piece capsule collection saw phrases like "CONFESS CONCEAL," THE WORDS ARE RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU," and "WITH PRACTICE YOU CAN LEARN TO SAY ANYTHING" breath new life into (and onto) deadstock garments.

The campaign for the collection featured Brooklyn nightlife mainstays, and close personal friends and muses to Willie, West Dakota and Chiquitita, and was photographed by Lia Clay Miller.

Willie also tapped friend and stylist Katie Burnett (who, at the time, had just started to create striking self-portraits during the height of the pandemic) to create an at-home campaign featuring pieces from the collaboration.
