WILLIENORRISREWORKSHOP is the self-guided studio practice of NYC-based fashion designer Willie Norris. Since 2018, WNRWS has been operating in collaboration with community and in tandem with industry: products and projects are not released according to a set seasonal schedule, but rather according to the tangible and intangible resources available at any given time.

WILLIE NORRIS is an American fashion designer with a thing for words. Described by The New York Times as a “master of bringing together," she approaches fashion with a laser-focused technical eye, making work that brings utility, pleasure, community, and poetry to getting dressed.

She is the founder and creative director of WILLIENORRISREWORKSHOP, which she founded in 2018 as a container for the creative practice and projects of herself and her varied roster of collaborators and clients, which have included Helmut Lang, AWAY,  MoMAPS1, Le Tigre and Planned Parenthood of Greater New York.

Her work has been worn by prominent models Ashley Graham, Alex Consani, Lauren Chan, Kate Upton, Geena Rocero and Aaron Philip, comedians Bowen Yang, Julio Torres, Jaboukie, Hasan Minhaj, Mary Beth Barone and Cole Escola, prominent queer creatives Hunter Abrams, West Dakota, Kimberly Drew and Philip Picardi, fashion designer Christopher John Rogers, actors Ismael Cruz Córdova and Daveed Diggs and musicians Lil Nas X, L'Rain, BbyMutha, Bearcat and Torres.

She is the acting Design Director for American ready-to-wear brand Outlier, where she approaches functional menswear with poetic fantasy. At Outlier, Willie is expanding the legacy of utilitarian precision and fabrication-obsession that founders Abe Burmeister and Tyler Clemens began when they launched the brand in 2008.

Prior to Outlier, she worked on the design teams of Zero + Maria Cornejo and Isaac Mizrahi, and interned with Susan Cianciolo and Camilla Staerk.
