Collaboration is vital to me.Through the WILLIE NORRIS WORK SHOP imprint,I have had the opportunity to collaborate with a varied roster of brands, institutions, creators and artists including but not limited to...
X DIEUX (2024) — A collaboration with skincare brand Dieux in the form of a limited-edition PROMOTE HOMOSEXUALITY Forever Eye Mask in my signature shade of red.At the heart of this collaboration me shared shared belief with Dieux founder Charlotte Palermino that community care is self-care, and that individuals are truly supported only when their identities and communities are recognized. All proceeds from sales of this collab were donated to G.L.I.T.S.
X AWAY (2024) — For the second year in a row,
X AWAY (2023) — A collaboration in celebration of Pride month that saw Away’s iconic suitcases playfully reworked by me with phrases ranging from “MY BAGGAGE” to "5-7 looks" and "HMU" which both nod to the omnipresence of Away luggage on photoshoots by stylists and hair/makeup teams.
X HELMUT LANG (2020) — A seven piece capsule collection entitled "Helmut Langage" that saw deadstock Helmut Lang garments reworked with my signature bold wordplay.
INSTITUTIONS:
X PLANNED PARENTHOOD (2020 + 2024) — Using the design format of her wildly popular "WHAT EXACTLY IS HETEROSEXUALITY AND WHAT CAUSES IT" t-shirt, Willie worked with Planned Parenthood of Greater New York to create an informational graphic of a t-shirt that highlighted the the myriad of services that Planned Parenthood and the "CARE FOR ALL" mantra that permeates the organization. All proceeds went directly to PPGNY.
X MoMA PS1 (2020) — In the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Willie Norris worked in conjunction with MoMAPS1 to create a t-shirt to benefit NYC Nightlife United. Using deadstock merch, originally designed by Andrew Kuo for the 2018 season of their wildly popular Warm Up series, Willie reworked the tees to reflect the moment with an over-printed text-based design that encapsulated her value-added approach to fashion design and collaboration.
ARTISTS:
X LE TIGRE (2022) — By way of J.D. Samson, Le Tigre partnered with Willie Norris to create a limited edition t-shirt to celebrate their first live concert in 12 years at the This Ain’t No Picnic Festival in Pasadena, California. Willie designed a two-sided tee inspired by lyrics from "My Art" from their Feminist Sweepstakes album.
